This spherical coin does not have a typical obverse or reverse side. Theoretically, the obverse is considered the bottom of the ball-shaped coin which features the Barbados national coat of arms. A dolphin and pelican hold the National shield, which bears a fig tree, a helmet, and crossed sugarcane stalks. The top of the ball shaped coin is designed to look like a green planet Earth. Design elements in a stunning blue enamel applied manually represent the oceans.
The textured surface finished in a bright green enamel represents the continents. The 2022 barbados spherical coin arrives in its original unopened outer box direct from the mint.
